Our kits come with everything needed to sew the coaster backing on, but you may want to use fabric glue or hot glue if you have it handy.

Moss Kits?
Our moss kits are the perfect activity to help you connect with your creativity and make something that is uniquely yours.
Our moss kits include a HUGE range of textured yarns, such as bobble, feather and chenille yarn, making them unlike any kit you’ve ever made. Using a combination of simple weaving and latch-hooking techniques, they’re great for craft newbies or pros who want to try something new.
Whilst all of our moss kits come with a guide to make yours exactly like ours, we also provide a range of variations so that you can customise your coaster or rug to be your own!

I got the moss rug + 2 coasters kit and so far I've made one coaster. Even though the base is a latch hook canvas base, the project itself is 95% not latch hook. Making and fluffing up the pom poms is pretty tedious and was my least favorite part. The finished product does look very cute, and the fluffy yarn is super soft. I'm not sure that I will realistically use it as a coaster but it's going to be a nice decoration regardless.
I can tell the rug is going to take a while. You need a hot glue gun or your own liquid glue - the kit only includes a hot glue stick. Be patient! There are lots of detailed video instructions provided, which are pretty helpful.
Shipping came lightning fast from Australia to the US.
Hi Susan, thank you for your detailed review and for sharing the photo of your finished coaster too! I'm glad you've enjoyed making your piece, even though the pom poms weren't as enjoyable as the rest of it. We do provide glue-free options for both our rug and coaster kits (we include the needle and thread in the kit) but if you want to speed-up the process we highly recommend using a hot glue gun or your own glue. If you're only planning on using them as decor pieces and not as a coaster/rug, you can actually leave the backing off too! I hope this is helpful :) Nakisah x (Craft Club's Founder)
The rug was amazing!
I really love these kits, I've been wanting to have a moss rug for a while and being able to make it myself is great. I found it easy and fun. I really appreciate the video instructions, but I'm deducting one star out of five because I think that instructions should also be included in paper form in the packages, and definitely they should be written out on the website in text in addition to the tutorial videos. Also a direct written link to the online instructions should be included as well as the QR code.

Are moss kits suitable for beginners?
Yes! Our kits are perfect for beginners as they include everything you need to complete your kit, including loads of materials and tools.
They also include full video tutorials so that you can complete your mossy creation easily.
These kits are very crafty and creative, so they're perfect if you're new to craft and want to stretch your creative muscles.
If you're a seasoned stitcher, you'll still enjoy this kit as it includes lots of new techniques that you might not have seen before.
What's the difference between moss kits, and latch-hook kits?
Our new moss kit are quite different from our classic latch-hooking kits, but they're equally enjoyable.
Mossy Kits:
- Focused on craft and creativity, meaning you can customise your coaster and make it unique to you.
- Uses multiple weaving techniques rather than one latch-hooking technique.
- Faster to create as it can be completed in 1-2 session easily.
- Teaches you to stitch or glue the backing, rather than having it pre-stitched.
Latch-Hooking Kits:
- Focused on mindfulness and relaxation, so its more suitable for watching TV in the background.
- Uses one repeated technique rather than multiple weaving techniques.
- Longer time to stitch as the project is much larger.
- The backing is pre-sewn and the yarn is pre-cut for you making it easier to get started.
Both kits are equally easy and suitable for beginners. However it depends on the activity you'd like to do. If you'd like to get crafty and be more openly creative then I recommend our moss kits. If you'd rather focus on mindfulness and relaxation, try our latch-hooking kits instead.

Our moss kits are faster to create than our latch-hooking projects as they use different techniques.
Our moss coaster kits can easily be finished in 1-2 sessions. Between 2-4hrs depending on how fast you like to work.
Our moss rug kit can easily be finished in 2-4 sessions. Between 3-8hrs depending on how fast you like to work.
